He remarked, “Even during the first election of the Constituent Assembly, there were widespread rumours until the day before the polls that the election might not take place. Yet, the elections were held.”
In a separate context, Dahal said public speculation about the upcoming elections has increased following the special general convention of the Nepali Congress. “A significant split within a major party is a matter of concern and not encouraging news. However, it will not affect the elections,” he said.
Dahal also highlighted that the all-round development initiatives undertaken by Bharatpur Metropolitan City have enabled it to serve as a model for the nation.
At the event, Mayor Renu Dahal announced that the administrative building was constructed at a total cost of Rs 533.2 million. The six-storey structure has been built on seven kattha (25,500 sq feet) of land.
