TAPLEJUNG, Jan 1: A forest guard was murdered in the district Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Shahi of Jajarkot district. He was forest guard at Kholing Range Post under the District Forest Office, according to the District Police Office.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ram Bahadur KC, said that as per the preliminary investigation, a local Sabin Limbu murdered Shahi by attacking with khukuri while Shahi was on duty at a community forest of Oerakhu in Khoklin VDC.
The incident site lies four hour trek from the district headquarters. Search for absconding Sabin is underway. RSS
