KATHMANDU, May 4: Industrialist Shekhar Golchha has been re-arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) shortly after being released pursuant to a Supreme Court order.
According to authorities, Golchha was taken into custody again just minutes after his release. Police had obtained an arrest warrant earlier on Monday in anticipation of his possible release during the hearing of his habeas corpus petition. Acting on that warrant, CIB re-arrested him and resumed investigation related to insurance matters.

Golchha, former president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and chairman of Golchha Group, had initially been arrested on April 24 for further investigation based on a Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) inquiry report.
