KATHMANDU, Aug 24: Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane stated that it is his weakness not to have known GB Rai well on time.
Responding to questions from the media at Bharatpur Airport, Lamichhane said that it is the responsibility of state agencies to investigate the source of the assets of Galaxy TV Chairman Rai.

"I had done the work there after seeing, knowing and understanding it. However, one and a half years after leaving, this information came to light following various investigations. It wasn’t known at that time. If it had been known then, it would also have known earlier. Some things are only examined when they are revealed," said Lamichhane. "It is natural not to know about it until it is revealed. But generally, no one knew about it."
Noting that he now feels he should have paid more attention, Lamichhane said his association with Rai was a mistake.
On Friday, a Special Parliamentary Committee formed to investigate the embezzlement of funds from various cooperatives recorded his statements. He said that he saw it as an opportunity to answer all the questions raised against him.
