BAITADI, June 25: The Jai Prithvi Highway has been blocked since last night due to the landslide triggered by incessant rainfall.
Landslide at Sribhavar has brought vehicular traffic to a halt along the highway. As a result, hundreds of passengers have remained stranded. Passengers going to Bajhang via Baitadi and leaving Bajhang to other districts are stranded in the middle of the road.

Because the rain has not stopped, landslides continue to take place thereby making it difficult to clear the road for traffic, said Baitadi Police Spokesperson Police Inspector Yogesh Khatri. He said that it will still take some time to resume the vehicular traffic along the highway.
