SURKHET, Jan 6: A large quantity of herbs has been seized in Lekbeshi Municipality–8, Surkhet. On Tuesday night around 8 PM, a team from the Division Forest Office, Surkhet, recovered approximately seven tipper loads of Gurjo Gano herbs from a house in Arantuda.
Suspecting illegal collection and storage, 65-year-old Bir Singh Nepali was taken into custody for further investigation, the Division Forest Office said.

The seized herbs have been securely stored at the Armed Forest Security Post in Latikoili, Birendranagar Municipality–9.
Division Forest Office Chief Radhakrishna Das said that due to the large volume of herbs seized, the matter is being taken seriously and legal procedures are underway.
