KATHMANDU, March 18: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday increased marginally by 3.27 points to close at 2,073.53 points.
The market opened at 2,070.25 points and rose to the day’s high at 2,075.62 points in the first few minutes. The market however went through a series of fluctuations and hit the day’s low at 2,060.66 points before the last 40 minutes. The index bounced back around 13 points before the market closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies inclined by 1.30 points. The daily turnover declined further to Rs 2.88 billion from Rs 3.38 billion on Sunday.
Four groups including manufacturing and processing, non-life insurance, banking and investment lost in their market values in the intraday trading on Monday. Of the nine gainers, the development bank posted the largest increase of Rs 52.80 per share on an average.
Among individual companies, only 148 were recorded as gainers whereas 86 were the losers.
Gurkhas Finance Ltd had transactions of its shares worth Rs 231.45 million and led the segment of highest turnover. By adding 10 percent in its market value, the company was also recorded as the topmost gainer. Manushi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited lost the highest of 5.15 percent of its market price.
