KATHMANDU, Sept 28: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed banks and financial institutions (BFIs) to continue their banking services for customs clearance throughout the public holidays of Dashain except on Vijaya Dashami, which falls on Thursday.
Issuing a public notice, the NRB has asked the BFIs to manage their services during the holidays this week for customs clearance. The central bank issued the notification following a request it received from the Department of Customs.

The banking services for customs clearance are expected to facilitate trade and maintain the supply system as well as help provide related service without any disruption, according to the DoC.
