KATHMANDU, Oct 9: CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli stated that he was not familiar with the current Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal prior to his appointment.
Addressing a program organized by the Bhaktapur chapter of UML in Gundu, Oli said he only heard Aryal’s name after he assumed office. Referring to Aryal as “Babu,” the former prime minister advised him not to be overexcited.

“Did you have a chance to hear the name of the current home minister before? I hadn’t even heard of him. I came to know of him only after he became the home minister. I have nothing against him, but I would like to advise Home Minister ‘Babu’ not to get overexcited or overreact, and to stay composed,” Oli said.
Stating that running a country and doing politics are not matters of jokes, Oli urged Home Minister Aryal to act with prudence.
