KATHMANDU, Jan 30: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu on Thursday hosted an art exhibition and artist talk titled “Colours of Pakistan through the Brush of a Nepali Artist,” highlighting cultural exchange between Pakistan and Nepal.
The exhibition featured works by renowned Nepali artist Ms. Bidhata KC, inspired by her artistic journey and experiences in Pakistan. Art lovers and practitioners, representatives of civil society, media professionals, social media influencers, and members of the diplomatic community attended the event, along with friends and family of the Pakistan Embassy.
According to a press statement issued by the Embassy, the diverse turnout reflected growing interest in people-to-people ties and cultural exchange between the two countries.

During the program, Ms. KC shared her experiences from the Artist Residency Program for South Asian Countries in Pakistan. She spoke about her travels across the country and the artistic, cultural, and social impressions that shaped her work.
Her paintings depict Pakistan’s landscapes, heritage, and cultural diversity. She expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu for the opportunity and praised Pakistan’s art, culture, and hospitality.
Addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Mr. Abrar Hashmi, commended the artist for her creative portrayal of Pakistan through a Nepali perspective.
He said cultural diplomacy remains a vital pillar of Pakistan–Nepal relations and reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to strengthening mutual understanding between the two nations, the statement said.
Participants also appreciated the Embassy’s efforts in organizing the event and lauded the artistic depth and thoughtful expression reflected in the artworks.
On the occasion, the Embassy announced that the Pakistan Food Festival will be held in Kathmandu from February 5 to 7, 2026, offering the Nepali public another opportunity to experience Pakistan’s culinary and cultural heritage.
