Passport printing, distribution to resume

The regular supply of passports was disrupted following the Gen Z protest. According to the DoP, printed passports will be supplied to district administration offices and Nepali diplomatic missions abroad.

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: The Department of Passports (DoP) has said that passport printing and distribution, which had been halted earlier, will now resume as normal.



The regular supply of passports was disrupted following the Gen Z protest. According to the DoP, printed passports will be supplied to district administration offices and Nepali diplomatic missions abroad.

Keshav Raj Panthi, information officer at the DoP, said passports have been distributed based on applications received from district administration offices up to December 1. Applications submitted after that date will be processed and supplied by January 9.
