LALITPUR, Nov 6: A group of football players staged a protest outside All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) headquarters in Satdobato in Lalitpur on Thursday, expressing outrage over the governing body’s decision not to organize the A Division League this year.
The protest, led by the Nepal Football Players Association, saw players demanding the immediate resumption of the country’s top-tier football competition, which has not been held for nearly three years.
The demonstrators accused ANFA of neglecting professional footballers’ livelihoods and undermining the development of domestic football by pushing the league to next year once again.

Players displayed placards and chanted slogans calling for the reinstatement of the A Division League, urging ANFA to reverse its decision and prioritize the continuity of the national football calendar.
According to the ANFA, repeated postponement of the league has left hundreds of players without regular income or match experience, jeopardizing both careers and the overall competitiveness of Nepali football.
