KATHMANDU, Oct 25: A high-level security meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Saturday to assess the current security situation in the country and determine necessary measures.
Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Home Secretary Rameshwor Dangal and the chiefs of all four security agencies were present at the meeting. According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the security officials briefed the meeting on the latest developments across the nation.

Following the meeting, Home Minister Aryal said the government has conducted a detailed analysis of the situation amid reports of planned demonstrations by various groups. “We have made a detailed analysis of the security situation. We have received information that various groups have prepared for demonstrations. Everyone is free to put forward their political demands in a responsible manner,” he said.
Aryal added that the government has kept the door open for dialogue to address political concerns and will engage with relevant parties when necessary.
