KATHMANDU, Feb 20: Prime Minister Sushila Karki reached Mustang today.
The Prime Minister, who arrived in Mustang on Friday, inspected Himalayan settlements in the district.
Her visit comes at a time when there has been discussion that the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 could be affected in the Himalayan regions due to weather conditions.
57,000 plus tourists visit Mustang in 2019
Prime Minister Karki has repeatedly stated that the election will be held nationwide on Falgun 21 in a single phase.
During her visit, she also interacted with residents of Mustang.
She took updates from government officials in Mustang regarding the preparations underway for the election.
The Prime Minister also offered prayers at Muktinath Temple.
