The court summoned both parties for discussion on May 18 and asked the defendants to submit a written response within 15 days of receiving the notice, excluding travel time, through the Office of the Attorney General.
The order also directs the authorities to submit copies of the writ petition along with the written response.
The writ petition had been filed by Deepak Dhami, president of the All Nepal National Free Students Union, and others against the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar, challenging the decision to abolish student organizations in universities.
