SC registers writs against parliament dissolution, hearing set for Oct 29

According to SC officials, ten writs were filed on Tuesday alone after the court opened registration for such petitions.

KATHMANDU, Oct 15:  The Supreme Court (SC) has registered multiple writ petitions filed against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR). According to SC officials, ten writs were filed on Tuesday alone after the court opened registration for such petitions.

The SC administration confirmed that the writs are being registered in chronological order. Among the petitioners are advocates Dr Prem Raj Silwal and Yubaraj Safal, whose writs have already been registered. The SC has scheduled the hearing on these writ petitions for October 29.
