According to party sources, extensive security measures have been put in place involving both state security forces and the party’s own organizations. In addition to police deployment, members of the NC-affiliated youth wing, Tarun Dal and the student wing, Nepal Student Union, are stationed around the premises to ensure order and safety.
Meanwhile, all attendees gathering around the party office are undergoing strict security check by the cadres and security personnels.
The CWC meeting is expected to be tense as influential leaders like General Secretary Gagan Thapa and Biswo Prakash Sharma plan to pressure Deuba to step down and announce a schedule for the party’s regular general convention.
The meeting will be attended by office bearers, Central Working Committee members, invited representatives and presidents of all seven provincial committees.
