KATHMANDU, March 25: Senior-most member of the House of Representatives (HoR) Arjun Narsingh KC has assumed office at the Federal Parliament Secretariat in Singha Durbar.
KC took the oath of office and secrecy earlier in the day from President Ram Chandra Paudel. Following the recent House of Representatives election held on March 5, he has been entrusted with the responsibility of presiding over the House in the capacity of acting Speaker until a new Speaker is elected.

He was welcomed by senior officials at the Parliament Secretariat upon assuming charge.
The Secretariat has scheduled the swearing-in of the remaining 274 newly elected members of the House for Thursday, which will be administered by KC.
