KATHMANDU, March 26: Authorities have begun issuing permits for mountaineering in the spring season, with 82 climbers from 10 expedition teams receiving approval as of Wednesday.

Similarly, 20 climbers from two teams have secured permits for Ama Dablam.
Although Mount Everest typically attracts the largest number of climbers during the spring season, no permits had been issued for the world’s highest peak as of Wednesday.
The tourism department said it has already collected Rs 18.4 million in royalties from the permits issued so far.
