Three flights diverted due to strong winds, Qatar Airways and Air India overshoot

Three aircraft were diverted because of high wind speeds. Malindo Air was diverted to Bhairahawa, Air India Express to Varanasi, and China Eastern to Dhaka.

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Three flights were diverted from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Thursday due to strong winds.



According to airport officials, a China Eastern Airlines flight arriving from Kunming was unable to land and was diverted to Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Three aircraft were diverted because of high wind speeds. Malindo Air was diverted to Bhairahawa, Air India Express to Varanasi, and China Eastern to Dhaka.


Air India, arriving from Delhi, and Qatar Airways, arriving from Doha, were holding in the skies over Nijgadh and Amlekhgunj due to the wind conditions.
