Two arrested for Rs 45 million fraud

KATHMANDU, April 16: Police have arrested two individuals accused of defrauding Rs 45 million and remaining absconding.



A team deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office in Teku apprehended 62-year-old Shantiraman Pangeni from Syangja and 58-year-old Tika Pangeni from Tokha in Kathmandu.

According to police, arrest warrants had been issued against them by the Kaski District Court, but they had been on the run.


They were arrested in Kathmandu and handed over to the District Police Office in Pokhara for further investigation, police said.
