KATHMANDU, March 6: The United Kingdom has congratulated Nepal for successfully conducting the House of Representatives (HoR) elections held on March 5.
In a statement issued on Friday, the UK Embassy in Kathmandu said it looks forward to working closely with the new government that will be formed following the polls.

“As Nepal’s oldest friend, the UK congratulates the government and people of Nepal on the 5 March election. The democratic instincts shown by Nepalis provide a strong foundation for good governance, and faster economic and social development,” the statement read.
The embassy further said the UK will continue to work closely with the new government of Nepal toward achieving a brighter future for the country.
