Weather improving after exit of rain-inducing system

Meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Bibhuti Pokharel, shared that the weather has significantly improved and there will be no rain as on Friday and this morning.

KATHMANDU, March 22: The weather has improved after a system causing rain, which was active since Friday, has weakened. 



Meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Bibhuti Pokharel, shared that the weather has significantly improved and there will be no rain as on Friday and this morning. 


However, pre-monsoon activities would remain and partly cloudy weather is likely on Sunday, Pokharel added.

Currently, light rainfall is taking place in eastern parts and other regions of the country and the weather would improve gradually.   


Even though the rain-causing system has exited from the country, pre-monsoon activities would remain and there is no possibility of heavy and prolonged rain for the time being, mentioned Pokharel.


According to the Department, light rainfall is taking place at some places of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province and Madhes Province. 


As per Department's 24-hour details, the highest 75.8 millimeter rain was recorded in Palpa, 75.2 millimeter in Rupandehi, 63.8 millimeter in Morang, 63.2 millimeter in Dhankuta and 59.6 millimeter in Kapilvastu
