BIRGUNJ, June 3: A total of 240 border pillars have gone missing in Parsa district, confirmed Superintendent the Armed Police Force Nagendra Thapa.

The missing pillars were not found though the security officials were searching for the pillars that have gone missing for years due to many reasons.

Thapa said seven large pillars, two medium and 231 small border pillars have been missing along the Nepal-India borderline in the district.

He said now the district has only 832 border pillars. Of them, 379 are awaiting maintenance, Thapa said.
