33-party alliance enforces transport strike

MYAGDI, Oct 31: The alliance of 33-political parties led by the CPN-Maoist has enforced a transport strike in Parbat, Baglung and Myagdi districts on Thursday.



Transport service on the national highway and other roads is closed due to the strike, causing inconvenience to the people.[break]



The alliance called for a transport strike to thwart the election campaign programmes which the UCPN (Maoist) chairman is scheduled to attend in these districts today.



Min Bahadur Baniya, the District In-charge of the Alliance and the CPN-Maoist´s District Co- in charge, said the transport closure has been organized as per their programme of barring the leaders of the four major parties from entering the districts.



Meanwhile, a UCPN (Maoist) cadre came under attack at Singa of Myagdi district on Wednesday night.
