36 players in first phase training for U-19 Premier

KATHMANDU, July 10: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is all set to hold first phase of closed camp training for the ACC Men's U-19 Premier cricket from Saturday to July 26 in Kathmandu.



The ACC U-19 Premier is scheduled to be held in Malaysia from August 26 to September 4. CAN will not be organizing any national tournament for players' selection.

Issuing a press statement, CAN said that it was not able to hold the national tournament for players' selection due to monsoon. Altogether 36 players will be called for the first phase of closed camp training.


Among them, 18 players - 14 regular and four reserved -- from last year's ACC U-19 Premier squad have been called in the camp while two emerging players each from all nine regions have also been called.
