5 things about Bijay baral

Here, Niraj shares with Republica five things about him that are not known to many.

He is a family man
He may be a much loved actor but nothing in the world can give him as much happiness as he gets in being with his family members. “I enjoy being with my family, especially my wife and parents. It gives me a sense of security. At the end of the day, they’re the ones who’ll love me and take care of me no matter what,” he says.

He gets excited about travelling every single time
His job involves lots of travelling, and while some seem to find it tiring, Niraj is always excited about packing his bags and hitting the road. “I feel lucky that my profession allows me to explore new places every now and then. I love travelling so much that it doesn’t matter whether I’m destined to a new location or somewhere I’ve been umpteenth times. Not just the destination, but I enjoy the whole journey every single time,” he explains.

His childhood dream was to become a football player
Niraj has always been a big football fan, “So much so that I dreamt of becoming a professional footballer when I was a child. But I haven’t given up yet. I’m one of the best players when I play it on my mobile or PS4, I can bet for sure,” he says, adding that he has dedicated many nights to watching the ‘beautiful game’, be it during the World Cup, the Premier Leagues, or whenever his favorite club Manchester City plays. “I support our national team, too,” he says.

More than 50% of his phone memory is all music and music videos
“Words can’t explain how music can heal me. I always find time for good music. In fact, more than 50% of my phone memory has been occupied by music and music videos,” he shares. He doesn’t have a particular favorite, though. “I listen to all types of music in Nepali, English, and Hindi. The kinds of genres I listen to depends on my mood,” he says.

His blood group is A-ve
Niraj’s is one of the rarest groups of blood, and he has donated it for life-saving purposes. “A-ve blood is rarely found in blood banks. While I’ve donated blood in many blood donation programs, I once got the chance to save the life of a six-year-old boy who needed blood for an urgent operation. It felt really good,” he says. He has a deep faith in giving back to the society, and plans to open up a social service organization soon. “Helping other people gives me peace of mind,” he says.
