Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya of Bhaktapur edged past Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya of Pokhara 2-0 with both of the goals coming from Sansar Gurung. He opened the score in the 38th minute and doubled the advantage in the hour mark in the match held at Chyasal ground.
In another match, Yusuf Rai netted the loan goal of the match three minutes from time to seal 1-0 win over Him Shikhar English School of Sunsari.
In the girl´s semifinal match held at the Satdobato ground, Deep Jyoti Vidhyasram of Banke overcame Tops Higher Secondary School of Pokhara 3-1. Nirmala Upadhyaya starred for Deep Jyoti as she scored all three goals for the winning side. Upadhyaya opened the score in the 32nd minute, doubled the tally five minutes later and sealed the victory during the stoppage time. Puna Chand pulled one back for Tops during the dying moments.
In the second semifinal, JP High School of Kathmandu toiled hard to beat Public Higher Secondary School of Sunsari 4-3 in tiebreaker. The match was decided in tiebreaker after the goalless regulation 70 minute time.
ANFA beats referee team
ANFA team comprising of ANFA office bearers and officials defeated Referee´s team during a friendly match on Saturday at the Satdobato ground on the occasion of Asian Referee Day. ANFA defeated Referee team 4-1.
Bal Gopal Maharjan netted twice for the ANFA team while Sunil Shrestha and Rabindra Shrestha were also on target. Referee got the loan goal as a gift from ANFA as Indraman Tuladhar struck an own goal.
