CAN to provide financial assistance of Rs 500,000 to cricketer Lohani

KATHMANDU, April 24: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 500,000 to cricketer Siddhant Lohani.


CAN spokesperson Chhumbi Lama issued a statement stating that the decision was made to support Lohani in his medical treatment.

He sustained an injury while fielding during the Mahendra Narayan Nidhi T20 Cricket held in Janakpur in 2023.


Following knee surgery in Gurugram, India, he is now undergoing therapy as part of his recovery process. Lohani made his debut for Nepal’s senior team on July 18, 2015, during the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers in a match against Jersey.


In that game, he scored 27 runs off 16 balls, smashing 2 fours and 2 sixes.
