The draft of the new constitution has proposed 8 provincial states of the country as its new federal structure.

"The 8-state model will create obstruction while delineating the federal provinces," said Poudel, adding, "This model could also create complexities to run the country in the future."

He, however, said that he could not stick to the proposal of 6-state federal model as none of the parties backed his proposal.

He further opined that the country would also not bear the eight-province federal model on the basis of economic and administrative perspectives.
