Dahal remained ahead of 34 other bodybuilders entered into the final round of the championship that concluded at Dharan Auditorium on Saturday night.[break]
Dahal, who contested in 65kg weight category, became the champion of not only his weight category but also won the overall title. Nepal Bodybuilding and Fitness Association rewarded Dahal with Rs110,000.
"I had been preparing since five months for the championship and my hard work has paid back," said Dahal. "I will now concentrate on training as I look forward to winning gold medal in South Asian competitions," he added.
He had finished on the third position in both the second and third editions of the Mr Himalaya Championship.
Sujan Tamang (55kg), Sachit Pradhan (60kg), Shyam Shrestha (70kg), Maheshwar Maharjan (75kg), Tilak Bahadur Tamang (80kg) and Sanu Gurung (+80kg) won gold medal in their respective weight categories and they had competed for the overall title. They all received Rs 10,000 each for being champion of their weight categories.
National Sports Council Member Secretary Yuvaraj Lama and the association President Rajesh Babu Shrestha handed over trophies and cash prizes to the winners.
