KATHMANDU, Nov 21: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Tuesday arrested district government attorney of Rupandahi, Koshhari Niroula, with Rs 80,000 in bribe.

Niraula had accepted the bribe from a service seeker by assuring him that the latter would help him win a court case. He was arrested from his office in Bhairahawa and was and brought to Kathmandu.
A few days ago, Surendra Thapa, joint attorney at the Kaski High Court Government Attorney's Office, was arrested and prosecuted at the Special Court for taking Rs 500,000 in bribe from a client to 'turn a court case in his favor.
