KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh has been appointed the acting Prime Minister.
Following the departure of PM KP Sharma Oli for the USA today to attend the United Nations General Assembly, President Ram Chandra Paudel appointed Singh as the acting prime minister.

Singh will handle daily administrative tasks until PM Oli returns to the country. Oli is scheduled to return to Nepal on September 30.
