KATHMANDU, Aug 30: Prof Dr Subarna Lal Bajracharya has been appointed the vice-chancellor (VC) of Lumbini Buddhist University based in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is also the chancellor of the university, appointed Dr Bajracharya to the post at the recommendation of the recommendation committee.
The post had been lying vacant for the past six months. Dr Bajracharya is a retired professor from Tribhuvan University.
