KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Dr Govinda KC is being brought to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj on Tuesday.
After Dr KC’s health deteriorated on the eighth of his 19th hunger strike in Karnali, demanding reforms in the medical sector, he was brought to Nepalgunj on Monday.

Earlier, after witnessing serious health complications, Dr KC was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Karnali Institute of Health Sciences on Saturday. However, Dr KC has been refusing to undergo treatment.
According to the Assistant Chief District Officer of Jumla, Om Prakash Devkota, Dr KC himself wanted to come to Kathmandu after his health deteriorated.
A senior orthopedic surgeon, Dr Gobinda KC has been actively advocating reforms in the medical sector of Nepal time and again by staging hunger strikes.
