KATHMANDU, Jan 7: An earthquake of moderate intensity was felt in Kathmandu and surrounding areas on Tuesday morning at around 6:50.



It has been confirmed that an earthquake with a magnitude of 7 occurred with its epicenter in China. Tremors were felt in Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Bhutan and China.

Residents in Kathmandu described feeling the shaking, which lasted for several seconds, prompting people to rush outdoors as a precaution. While some buildings in the city showed minor vibrations, there have been no reports of structural damage so far.
