KATHMANDU, Feb 9: A cabinet meeting has been called for 10 am Tuesday to take stock of the latest situation following the demise of Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli who reached Maharajgunj this morning to pay last tribute to Koirala has informed the media persons.

"I have called an emergency meeting for 10 am today," said PM Oli, adding, "The meeting will take decision about the state honor to be given to Koirala."
Recalling Koirala's ardent faith and dedication toward democracy, PM Oli hailed him as an instrumental in the constitution making process and its implementation. "His contribution is very significant.
"His contribution is very significant. His struggle of over sixty-years toward democracy is highly commendable, said Oli.
Koirala played a very significant role toward ending transition and establishing democracy through promulgation of the new constitution, Oli said.
"Koirala always stressed on consensus, reconciliation and understanding among the political parties as mantras to resolve the imbroglio of the country and appealed all the parties concerned to move ahead in line with the guidelines given by late Koirala," said Oli.
Meanwhile PM Oli expressed his deep sorrow over the demise of veteran freedom fighter Koirala on behalf of the government, CPN-UML and on his own.
