Extreme views weaken democracy: Ramchandra Poudel

KATHMANDU, April 19: Nepali Congress Vice President Ramchandra Poudel has said extreme views in politics are always obstacles to the strengthening of democracy in Nepal.

Inaugurating the second annual general meeting of Democratic Society, Tyanglafata, Kritipur Saturday, leader Poudel said ultra-leftist and rightist thinking has fuelled every regression in the country and thereby weakening democracy. Good political leadership was always essential to promote democracy, he stressed.


On a different note, he pledged to conclude the constitution drafting process paying due respect to people's verdict. On the occasion, he released a souvenir published by the society. RSS
