DAMAULI, Nov 11: Five local units of Tanahun district have become free of the COVID-19 infection, said the district health office. The virus-free local units are Rishing, Ghiring, Devghat, Bandipur and Aanbukhaireni rural municipalities.

Following the second wave of the infection, 134 infected people from Ghiring have got over the deadly virus, said Shankar Babu Adhikari of the district health office. Likewise, 91 from Rishing, 90 from Devghat, 268 from Bandipur and 111 from Aanbukhaireni have recovered from the infection.
The active COVID-19 caseload in the district is 38 and the death toll has reached 124. So far, 86,216 people have been vaccinated against the infection. Of them, 65,838 have been fully vaccinated.
