FNCCI collecting cash, kind for quake victims

KATHMANDU, April 29: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has initiated 'Operation Relief' campaign with efforts from more than 20 different organizations and members of its district chapters.

Through the campaign, FNCCI aims to collect cash and essential items like food, medicine, water and cloths and distribute them among earthquake victims, FNCCI said in a statement issued on Wednesday.

For this FNCCI, has opened campaign secretariat at Bhrikutimandap. It has requested individuals and institutions interested to contribute money into the relief fund to deposit the amount in the name if FNCCI Earthquake Relief Fund at Everest Bank Ltd's Kalimati branch.

"Those who want to provide cash can donate it in the campaign's account number: 03700105200339," the statement said. FNCCI expected to collect Rs 100 million worth of cash and kind through the campaign.
