KATHMANDU, Oct 25: Nepal Police has expressed grief on the demise of Former Inspector General of Police Hem Bahadur Singh.
Former IGP Singh had passed away on Wednesday. In a press statement on Friday, the Police Headquarters paid tribute to late Singh, who served as the police chief from 1986 to 1990.

The Police HQ also expressed condolence to the bereaved family members. Late Singh was credited with introducing a new police uniform while serving as the police chief. He also introduced a computer system within the police organization.
