KATHMANDU, July 15: Ramesh Uprety, the brother of 33 kg gold scam and Sanam Shakya murder mastermind, Chuda Mani Uprety ‘Gore’ has been arrested by Dubai Police.
Upon the request of Nepal Police, the Dubai Police arrested Uprety with reference forwarded by the Nepali officials.

The high-level commission to investigate 33 kg gold scam and Sanam Shakya murder case has already filed a case against Uprety at Morang District Court.
Nepal Police have informed that preparation is underway to deport Uprety very soon. “There are few legal provisions to be fulfilled to deport Uprety from Dubai”, informed the source at Nepal Police.
The International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) had issued red corner notice against Uprety along with other three accused, including Mohan Agrawal, Benu Shrestha and Hari Sharan Khadka. Police have claimed that Khadka is also in Dubai.
