Issuing a directive on Sunday, the ministry directed local development officers and secretaries of village development committees to provide necessary support to lawmakers and government employees visiting the constituencies to collect public feedback on the draft constitution.The deadline for collecting public feedback on the draft constitution is July 22.
Officials said LDO and VDC secretaries will help hold all-party meetings in each constituency, provide logistic support, collect and compile public feedback and handover the complied reports to lawmakers. Similarly, the MoFALD has also directed the local bodies to keep health team standby at places where lawmakers will hold meetings for collecting public feedback.
The Constituent Assembly Secretariat has also informed that a total of 41 teams have left for villages with the preliminary draft of the new constitution to seek people's feedback. The teams have left for the constituencies to participate in the extensive interactions and meetings aimed at collecting people's feedback. However, lawmakers will leave for the villages on July 17.
