KATHMANDU, July 15: Newly-appointed Minister for Home Affairs Ramesh Lekhak has pledged to carry out his duties honestly. He said so while talking to journalists after taking the oath of office and secrecy as the country’s new home minister.

Home Minister Lekhak said that natural calamities have caused massive loss of lives and wealth and he will take the matter seriously. He mentioned that his first duty is to focus on maintaining the rule of law, crime prevention and law enforcement.
"The new government is focused on maintaining political stability and good governance by controlling corruption, making the economy vibrant, and reviewing the constitution," he said.
