Kick-boxing team leaves for India Friday

KATHMANDU, July 30: An 18 member Nepali team, including 11 players, is set to leave for India on Friday to take part in the WAKO Asian Kick-boxing Championship slated for August 1 to 9 in Pune, India.

Nepali team comprise of eight male players -- Prakash Bista (52 kg), Bil Bahadur Lama (54 kg), Bibek Lama (57 kg), Khagendra Pun Magar (60 kg), Ram Krishna Raut (65 kg), Bibash Dawadi (71 kg), Santosh Khadka (75 kg) and Rudra Limbu (81 kg), and three female players -- Binda Nepali (48 kg), Arati Tamang (51 kg) and Rijan Thapa Magar (45 kg).

Deepak Shrestha is coach of the team, which is accompanied by Sailendra Kumar Shrestha as an official and five other Nepali delegates to perform the role of referees.
