RAMPUR, June 30: The Kaligandaki corridor road has been obstructed due to incessant rain since last night. The road was blocked after a landslide occurred near the Sardikhola bridge on the border of Rambha Rural Municipality-2 and 3 of Palpa under the corridor.
As the road is obstructed, passengers and vehicles traveling through the corridor are stuck on the road. The vehicular movement has been obstructed on this road section since 5 AM today. Commuters have to suffer a lot due to the blockage of road sections as travel through the Kaligandaki Corridor road section is short and comfortable.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced
Vehicles traveling to Tansen, Butwal, Narayanghat and other places of the corridor via Rampur Pipal Danda are stranded in the middle. Journalist Prakash Gyawali said that it will take about four to five hours to remove the landslide.
Damodar Malla, head of the District Traffic Police Office, Palpa, said that the Tansen-Ridi road section was also blocked due to a landslide in Tansen Municipality-5.
The Aryabhanjyang-Ramdi road section under the Siddhartha Highway has also been blocked. The road was blocked after a landslide occurred in Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-1 Dhaireni.
