According to police, Gore was arrested from Gaurighat, Kathmandu on early Tuesday.
Gore was made public at a press conference organized at the Home Ministry.
The Home Ministry had formed a high level investigation committee to probe the high profile gold smuggling case.
Gore, son of a former police official, who originally hails from Urlabari municipality, Morang, is a mastermind behind the 33 kg gold smuggling.
