MK Nepal for use of electronic voting machines in polls

RAUTAHAT, May 15: Senior CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said on Wednesday that electronic voting machines should be used to ensure free and fair Constituent Assembly elections.



Speaking at a program in Gaur, the former prime minister also stressed on the need to downsize the previous 601 member-strong CA and to fix an election date at the earliest after settling the issue of CA downsizing. [break]



He said there is no alternative to new elections and called upon Chairman of Interim Election Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi to take an ‘appropriate’ initiative to convince the dissident parties to give up their protests and participate in the CA elections.
