Nepal meets Bihar CM

NEW DELHI, July 27: Former Prime Minister and senior leader of CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal on Saturday met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna.



Nepal had reached Patna along with UML general secretary Ishwor Khanal and his former foreign affairs adviser Rajan Bhattarai. They held a two-hour long luncheon meeting with Kumar, who is said to have discussed at length common problems facing India and Nepal. [break]



"We are friends and we should share our worries and happiness," Rajan Bhattarai quote Kumar over phone from Patna. Nepal also visited the historic Nalanda University premises on Saturday, which is located some 80 km south east of Patna city. The university was one of the oldest center for higher learning. Originally the university was established in 5th century AD by Gupta Kings. Nepal returned to New Delhi on Saturday and will be returning to Kathmandu on Sunday afternoon.
