KATHMANDU, April 1: Nepal's newly appointed Ambassador of Nepal to Portugal Prakash Mani Paudel presented his credentials to President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa of Portugal.
In a ceremony held on Monday at the Belém Palace, the President's residence in Lisbon, Ambassador Paudel presented his credentials to President de Sousa. After handing over the credentials, Ambassador Paudel had a courtesy meeting with the President.

According to the Embassy of Nepal in Lisbon, they discussed ways to further strengthen the bilateral relations between Nepal and Portugal as well as enhancing mutual interests and cooperation during the meeting.
On the occasion, President de Sousa congratulated Ambassador Paudel and extended best wishes for a successful tenure. During the meeting, Ambassador Paudel urged the President to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries and requested the establishment of a Portuguese embassy in Nepal, along with discussions on enhancing trade and tourism.
